BIOGRAPHY

Emma Miller is a Scottish singer-songwriter blending ethereal indie-folk with soulful vocals. From beautiful Morayshire, just above the Highlands, she’s captured listeners since her 2017 debut with honest, emotionally rich songs. She’s made waves in the UK and USA—selling out intimate Scottish shows, headlining at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe, and performing iconic venues like Rockwood Music Hall (NY) and Soho House (Nashville).

She’s the epitome of a fully fledged independent artist, working with a fiercely loyal fanbase who directly support her work. The Scottish songstress has been navigating an alternative music career for the last few years embracing new communities on Patreon and within the Web 3 music scene.

In Summer 2024, this took the form of a VIP weekend for 25 of her top supporters who flew in to join her in North East Scotland from as far as Hawaii, Colorado, Hanover, Romania and Berlin. Together they experienced a slice of life in her home region of Morayshire, filling their time with beach walks, intimate performances at her family home, a bespoke whisky tour, pub lunch and a beautiful gig at Gordon Castle’s Walled Garden.

At 35, Emma continues to reject the traditional industry blueprint and is embracing her most creative era to date with the launch of her debut album, ‘I Want to Be the Anchor’. The record explores the themes of love, loss and the question of wanting children.

“Despite the melancholy and vulnerability of the songs, it was a beautifully liberating record to make and marks a chapter of deep personal and creative growth. The songs capture a timeline that stretches over the last few years for some, with others being written in the months and weeks leading up to recording in Tennessee. They are the lessons of a woman navigating her 30’s and reveal the quiet inner strength that comes from knowing oneself: the good, the bad and the ugly."

Emma is withholding 50% of the record from DSPs making it exclusively accessible via vinyl, CD’s and digital downloads. You can sign up to her mailing list for more or explore exclusive content and new music as part of her Patreon community.
